I know that it feels like you are going to die. We have all felt that. I have felt that way several times thourghout this ordeal. And there have been several times where I would prefer to be dead as the pain was so horrifying. I understand. But you will not die from this. It just feels that way. There were times in the beginning where my salivary glands were not producing any saliva whatsoever I could not chew any food as there was no saliva in my mouth..so I couldn't eat or swallow. I used a mouthwash called Biotene which helped which keeping some moisture in my mouth. I would keep ice chips nearby. For my dry eyes I would use eye lubricant constantly..drops in my eyes every hour..and at night use an eye gel called GenTeal eye gel. I did end up on an IV drip during one of my hospitalizations for dehydration I would not recommend that. For me .the IV (which was a saline solution) made my symptoms 100 percent worse. I started having severe panic attacks, intense nerve pain, swelling and numbness in my face, and body convusions. It was only after being on the IV for 36 hours did I then realize my body was reacting to the solution. Again..a simple saline solution in your blood should not cause problems but my system was so hyper-sensitive to anything. Granted..that is not to say you shouldn't seek treatment if you are truly dehydrated..as of course other problems can result from that. I think the dryness in your mouth, nose and eyes are probably just making you feel dehydrated overall. Just keep drinking the fluids. During my first bout I was successful with keeping Ensure and fruit juices down. Second bout I couldn't tolerate the Ensure but was able to drink fruit juice made in a juicer. The dry mouth for me went away more quickly than the dry eyes. The dry eyes still comes and goes. The blocked nasal passages for me didn't show up until much later and I had it for 4-5 months and now just comes and goes. All of these things will clear up. Hang in there.
